Pros

It's like Grad School for Accenture rejects, who could not advance in Accenture's hierarchy. Think about that... do you want to join another Accenture? Consultants overall are not as skilled as advertised. Business Intelligence team is extremely weak, almost unable to staff. We are still unable to staff technical resources on my project, so most consultants are on an island by themselves - taking all the heat from the client. Little to no support from the weak management structure.

Cons

Weak & insecure leadership team. Leadership team blames anyone but themselves, so be careful of this type of environment. There is no clear view into pipeline and projects, nor project alignment to skill sets. Management team - I've never worked any place where they are this insecure and closed off. No vacation - any time off is taken from pay (doctor, sick time, family emergencies, etc.). Awful. Relatively low pay considering model. Beware of variable model of pay, as bench time will lead to half pay and/or termination. 4-7% bonuses on average. No pay raises. Do you want to earn $40-50 an hour, have little to no chance at advancement and continually clean up after other weak consultants? My advice - you deserve more than Slalom. Don't believe the hype.

Pros

more remote work than on-site good benefits

Cons

-leadership needs an overhaul -too many non-practioner leaders that are giving feedback and have not been on a client project in years (lack ability to deceserne) -new job performance model is based on classification of job titles + roles you can perform (be staffed for) + 4 key capability areas which are completely subjective (lead, grow, etc); this model allows for continued cliques and classes to keep people in specific job titles based on their subjective perspective (that is not on the front line with the client) it is VERY broken - they are not giving raises - they are hiring kids out of undergrad to be "consultants" (they do not have experience to be consultants) - they are not allowing seasoned professionals do the consulting but instead forcing them to coach/manage others (that is not what the clients are paying for - they want SMEs)

Pros

Some nice people here and there (those that haven't fully succumbed to the Kool-aid). PTO is generous even for early career folks (but watch out for flexible PTO, they expect leaders to be on all the time and to limit PTO even when it's unlimited).

Cons

Bought into the "work life balance" mantra but turned out leadership is so heavily x-Accenture that behind closed doors management complains about anyone who isn't working more than 45 hrs/week. Workloads were unsustainable and women consistently underpaid compared to male counterparts. Promised annual professional development spend as part of compensation package but was only allowed to use it twice across 8 years—told repeatedly that the company couldn't afford to provide everyone with professional development spend (so then why did you offer it?).
