Pros

Slalom is a great company to work for, they have a great work-life balance, great clients, no travel, local projects. They find roles that you like versus roles that like you.

Cons

Projects at slalom are smaller scale than larger consulting firms. It's much harder to have a presence when compared to the larger consulting firms.

Pros

Small Office Nice break room Good people . Effort is being made in order to bring benefits into line with that of more established firms

Cons

No project pipeline - Work seems to be literally sold today staffed tomorrow . No insight into the projects that are available especially at the national level Weak people managers No real training only training provided is via train the trainer so going to a partner or a established training institute is not supported by management . No personal development - If you are told that you do not have "Executive presence" needed for a promotion there is no program to develop that presence . If you need skills for a particular job you are expected to learn it on the job with little to no support from management Extremely political there is a schism between the "new people" and "the original people" Good people seem to be marking time waiting for an exit

Some of the greatest people work here

Pros

This company cares about its employees. I thought having a really great culture at a consulting firm would be impossible but I was very wrong. They hire not only incredibly talented people but also people who are enjoyable to work with. Leadership is extremely transparent and it is fairly flat organizationally.

Cons

401k match is pretty low compared to similar companies I've worked for No sick time (all PTO is in one basket)
