      Fantastic growth, but growing pains.

      Pros

      Extremely comfortable and laid back culture. Approachable management. Fantastic upwards mobility.

      Cons

      Departments fail to communicate with each other at times. Training is very much on the job, and tribal knowledge rules.

      The CEO is malaligned with the company goals

      It's hard to put a positive spin on my time at Smarsh. The company grew quickly and has been struggling to find opportunities since. Leadership has no idea of the day to day, HR is disconnected and the weekly firings are crushing to culture.

      Pros

      Great working environment. Great people to work with. Even on a bad day, the culture offset whatever may have been going on.

      Cons

      Upper management lost site of what made the company so important and greed got in the way. Your employees are what drive your business. If they don't figure that out then this company will continue to go downhill. I would not recommend this company to ANYONE and the CEO has lost his way and is only consumed with how many millions he can make.
