Pros

It's a good place to start as a stepping stone. All the movers and shakers leave for bigger and better things. There is a reason why this company still needs funding and isn't actually making money. Was a great stepping stone but not more than a year. Cool people to work with and some of the platforms are pretty awesome. Compared to other companies the "high sales" is pretty average compared to other companies. Hence why the movers and shakers don't stick around long and it's a great place to start.

Cons

The interview process is ridiculous. My role now I interview people and I know after 10 min if they are good to hire. The fact that there are 2 hr interviews is absurd. Either management doesn't know what they're doing, or love to waste time. The turnover is also pretty high considering the amount of interview time needed to hire a person they will lose in a few months. And the micromanagement is suffocating and unnecessary.

Run! There is a current HR investigation and the company is getting sued

Pros

The benefits are not too bad. Have met some great friends here. About a dozen of us are set to leave by the end of Q1.

Cons

Working at SmartAsset is like signing up for a masterclass in misery taught by the most incompetent, soul-crushing ghouls imaginable. The management? A pack of spineless yes-men who couldn’t lead a conga line, let alone a company. They preach “teamwork” and “innovation” while micromanaging every breath you take, second-guessing every decision, and then taking credit for anything that doesn't crash and burn. The pay? A laughable pittance, barely enough to cover the therapy you’d need after enduring their toxic nonsense. The culture is a cesspool of favoritism and backstabbing. If you aren't in the clique of brown-nosers who spend more time gossiping than working, you are invisible—or worse, a target. HR is a joke, a black hole where complaints go to die, and the turnover rate is so high they should install a revolving door. DO YOU REALLY WANT TO WORK AT A PLACE THAT IS "ALWAYS HIRING" ON LINKEDIN? The only thing SmartAsset excels at is draining your will to live while pretending it is “building character.” If you’re considering a job there, run—don’t walk—away. SmartAsset doesn’t just deserve to fail; it deserves to be erased from existence.

Pros

-Met some really cool people working here -Grubhub every month -Overall mission statement is great

Cons

-OTE they tell you is for second year you’re there not the first (if you hit quota every month year 1 it’ll be much less than what they tell you) - Micromanaged to the point where you have to be making cold calls all day long or management thinks you’re not working - Massive turnover rate with employees (majority of AE’s don’t last a year - Stealing contacts and deals is considered to be working smart - Product doesn’t work and will deduct your pay if someone you sold leaves the platform
