Pros

Fun Team Flexible Hours Great Culture Engaging Challenging As a Support Engineer, you are surrounded by great people who have a passion for technology. The office takes you out at least once a month and there are always snacks provided.

Cons

Lack of growth opportunity Lack of overall company direction Due to uncertainty, the center always seems to be chaotic with random changes. There doesn't seem to be a direct vision.

Cons

I wish I could name one, but can not.

Pros

-Great working environment, everyone there is passionate about their work and a pleasure to work with. -Management (upper and middle) listens to your needs or concerns. If someone comes up with a good idea, they are quick to implement it and give credit where it is due. Management tries as much as they can to make it a good working environment for you, and are very approachable if you need anything at all. -The works itself is engaging and hands on. It isn't like most support teams, there are of course support request numbers to shoot for but SmartThings places a lot of emphasis on engaging the user on a genuine level and ensuring they are taken care of as well. The support department is the Swiss army knife of the organization, so there is the chance to dabble in other areas of the company if you have the desire and competency to do so. -Compensation looks to be well above average for the area, for jobs of similar description. -Flexible and stable shifts. Want Tuesdays and Fridays off, while working nights Sunday and Monday? I am betting they could make that work for you if you are a qualified candidate. They also don't try and do any weird rotational stuff with you, once you get the schedule you want solidified you keep it until you want to change it. -A LOT of room for advancement. The company has gone from sub 100 to pushing 300 in less than a year, and greatly prefer to promote from within. Great job to look at if you are looking to "climb the ladder".

Cons

If you don't like quick paced fluid environments or aren't flexible, it may not be the place for you.
