Pros

The community is an amazing network and there is a huge focus on the employees. I feel like family when I am here working. Any problem you're having there will be a supervisor willing to help you solve it or try to advance.

Cons

We are open every day of the year except Christmas so depending on what you are doing you may be asked to work a weekend or holiday shift.

Pros

Decent pay for a minimal amount of work Especially good for high school students--can remain on the payroll when you go to college and work there during school breaks Enjoy discounts at the IMAX theater and museum stores

Cons

Management has been cutting back hours, meaning fewer opportunities to work and an increased difficulty in running the theater with the bare minimum number of people required for a shift. Focus of management is on the store, not the theater

Pros

People, those I worked with and those I met. Needed tools to do the job were always provided. Often the best available.

Cons

Feedback was sometimes skimpy or hard to understand. Beginning pay was for some not enough to live on. Vestiges of elitism lingers in a few places.
