Pros

It's nice to know that you're working for the number one manufacturer in the industry. Most of the products are made in the USA and the company boasts this as a selling point. Very proud organization.

Cons

There is no such thing as a work-life balance in Snap-on. It's not uncommon for some management and sales staff to work 70 hours/week. The company continues to pay quarterly dividends to it's shareholders while locking down pay raises for its employees. Due to this, morale is down as there haven't been raises in 3 years....yes, 3 years!

Pros

Progressive environment, clear strategic business objectives and communications, clear mission, vision values communications. Company going through changes for the better.

Cons

Senior leadership does not always live up to values esposed, ie: selectively apply competency behaviors.

Pros

Good benefits and opportunities for advancement. Stock has doubled in past five years (however, likely due to war profiteering).

Cons

Rigid process of selling which fails to recognize customers (and areas in which they have damaged relations). Poor communication (or lack thereof) for new employees. Lack of respect (tolerance?) for rational employee input.
