Pros

Solid salaries Pension Stock purchasing program International business opportunities Great cafe Fun events for employees

Cons

Slower opportunities for growing career because so many employees stay for forever. Not great PTO. Poor opportunities for advanced training. Industrial and Commercial division can feel like the little brother to the Tools side.

Good brand- long history

Pros

Family atmosphere, 100+ year old company that is profitable and the average tenure is 15 years. Confident in the stability of the company. Strong brand; customers and franchisees who promote loyalty. It is a marketer's dream to work for a company with such brand presence and loyalty.

Cons

Male-orientated company. The customer base is middle-aged white men and the office experience tends to lean in that direction. It, at times, can be difficult, as a woman, to gain ground in the "good ole boys club. (if I hear someone call another person "Brother" one more time). Lots of longevity in the organization, but it can be difficult to move up due to people not vacating positions. I think Snap-on is not up to par with other companies on pay
