Pros

Decent flexibility, management acts with integrity. Hourly positions with overtime.

Cons

-Annual performance raises capped at 5%, no cost of living adjustments. (Must be rated 100% efficient to even qualify for a raise, much of the department does not meet yearly efficiency requirements) -Forced ranking for raise reviews High pressure/high stress environment. Frequent mandatory overtime. Annual sick time expires at end of the year. Only 24hrs of PTO can roll over. 5 days annual sick time, 5 days annual vacation. Rapid growth has lead to growing pains- IT and internal systems are not able to handle load of new staff and expanding workloads. Processes change constantly to try and appease the carriers. Common to have 7+ day old files being assigned to you. Upper management refuses to hire additional staff or consider that their efficiency expectations may be unrealistic. Fluctuations in amount of claims discourages management for hiring additional staff, so the workload is often 30-50 claims in your queue. Management is brought in from outside companies- not typically promoted from within. Management turnover is very high.

Pros

Decent pay and benefits, working from home. Management left you along for the most part as long as you did a good job.

Cons

They expect people to produce and hold everyone to high standards. I dont think this is a con necessarily.

Pros

Remote Fair starting pay Flexibility Lots of OT Lots of experience that will look great on your resume when seeking a change if employer.

Cons

Horrible work/life balance due to pressure from mgmt to work overtime. Manager reviews on normal repairs can range from a quick approval to a short story of revisions depending on the reviewer. Too many leaders with first time management who are under the pressure of their director and above. Independent thought and ideas are quickly rejected then later brought up by a manager or above as a new idea. Monotonous, never ending work that never gives you the fulfillment of completion. Essentially a technological sweat shop with production and efficiency being the main drivers, no matter how complex the file. Upper management in estimating has not changed since the company started. Promotions for the same people. Lack of diversity in leadership since the company started. ***Fake positive reviews are submitted by managers who are directed to counter negative reviews. Pay attention to the longer, more detailed reviews for factual information.***
