Cons

I remember when I started here, I was very proud of where I worked and how awesome it was. Post-Covid, unfortunately, things were not the same. The work environment became more and more toxic as the number of carriers they have contracts with increased. Your talent will only be recognized if they like your personality. Many talented, intelligent and very experienced estimators have passed through here with horror stories to tell by the end. Work/Life balance? Nope. Fair raises based on cost of living AND performance? Nope. Growth Opportunities? Only if they like your personality. Check out all the reviews. There’s a reason all the IT/Software employees rate Snapsheet well. It’s basically an estimating sweat shop. The insurance part of being an insuretech seems to have slipped past them. Their business model does not support being a thorough and consistent estimator who adheres to industry standards. Later in my tenure, there was always a feeling of being locked to your desk and output expected no matter circumstance. There is no empathy present here. Bullying was rampant for a large part of my tenure mainly originating from the upper/mid management levels and trickling down. Daily changes to policies and procedures on the whim of upper management usually stemming from HR issues or lack of perceived production. The statement of “Just copy the shops estimate…” is uttered a few times an hour, especially for supplements and additional damage without documentation. I worked in every department from Customer Service through Estimating Lead and at no point did I feel valued. The only perk is by the time you’re done, you’ll have all the state adjusters licenses you’re willing to test for. Big warning from a well tenured ex-employee. Stay far away if you value anything resembling a normal work/life balance and professional integrity.
