Pros

There’s a reason there are so many lifers at SCG. The company culture is amazing, the benefits are excellent, and the work-life balance is ideal. I’ve been with the company for almost 8 years and started out as an engineering intern and got a full-time offer. The company is great because there are so many different departments! There are many opportunities to learn and try something new. It’s very common to transition around departments and gain experience along the way.

Cons

The company can be conservative in some ways.

Pros

Since COVID, the company has really started embracing telecommuting. The benefits are very competitive and we are one of the only companies left that still offers a pension/cash balance retirement plan. Many good people in the company. Our annual bonus plan is one of the best you'll find anywhere.

Cons

Your success at the company is very dependent on whether you have a good manager. If you have a supportive supervisor, then you're golden. However, if not, you're screwed.
