Pros

Great company to work for with excellent benefits and a pension! Everyone is respectful and pleasant to be around. Salary, bonus, and work life balance are excellent. One of the big pros for me is feeling appreciated for the work that I do and receiving that recognition for the hard work.

Cons

I wish there were more perks, free gym membership, better company discounts, company amusement park days, free snacks and drinks but it's understandable being the size of the company and it's not easy to accomplish.

Where do you work? Is the follow up question. I work for SoCalGas is my response. I am truly proud of where I work. My kids and family know I Bleed Blue. I am always encouraging people I come across to consider SoCalGas for a career. The career opportunities are endless. Our clean future starts with SoCalGas!

Cons

Unfortunately, many see SoCalGas as just a utility vs the future of energy.

Pros

There are lots of room for improvement. Plenty of opportunities to grow and learn. I believe that with nearly 15 years in the oil and gas industry this is the first job where they truly value work life balance. I have an opportunity to learn and improve my understanding of my job and responsibilities.

Cons

There are a few opportunities for field visits, but not as much as I would like. Each employee has to take it up on themselves to seek out knowledge. There not a step-by-step career development schedule.
