Pros

If you want to make money, enjoy consistently working (aka not a slacker), and are flexible (potential shift changes) this job is great. Overtime potential and rewards are average/ frequent. Catered meals and stocked kitchen are delicious. Pretty diverse collection of people as well as room to pivot/grow. If you perform well, management notices. I really love my job, perform well, and am compensated for it.

Cons

It can definitely be stressful. Managers can be busy (afk meetings, focused on emails/reading reports/whatever) so it can be a hassle or inconvenience to get questions and concerns addressed at times. Things change fairly frequently, and fast. If you don’t perform well, management notices.

Beautiful campus. Best view in SF Good food.

Cons

Unprofessional management. Extreme favoritism. People with less experience get promoted. The scope of work does not match up to the job description. Too much talk, not much done. No innovation. Engineer lead does not equal tech-driven.

I read a few reviews, before having had the chance to work here, I do not know the reason anyone would rate this place below 4 stars. The truth about SoFi is that it is a great place to work with opportunity for growth. In any day and life, growth does not come free, you have to put in the work. It is is not about spoon feeding but also learning your job. Training is ok, work mates are good and the energy is lively. I also think attitude is everything, you get to meet people from different backgrounds, with different life stories etc, which should not be blamed on the company. Overall it is a great place to work, good people with good energy, pay is good, benefits are good, with a lot of growth opportunity just have to make sure you are working smart. I recommend SoFi to anyone looking for a career and not just a job.
