      Typical, and that's not always a bad thing

      Pros

      + Great pay: other companies in the value are upset that they can't pay as well + Familiar tech stack (JVM, ELK stack, Redis, RDBMS) + Great people: everybody was worth talking to. My team was amazing. + Food: the kitchens were unrivaled.

      Cons

      - Familiar tech stack: there's nothing new under the sun. I joined this field for novelty - My manager and I had (somewhat) incompatible personalities and SoFi has made it _very_ difficult to change teams based on interest/fit. - Food: there weren't staff for the kitchens, so there was a team rotation. Some teams were more lax than others.

      Pros

      Great pay and training is paid also there is plenty of overtime if you want it.

      Cons

      The movement options are more horizontal move to a different department to do the same things at slightly higher pay.

      Pros

      I am excited about our new CEO. I think he will bring the necessary changes and improvements to this company. The benefits are fantastic!

      Cons

      Still feels like there is a lack of transparency and communication. There needs to be a way to have job advancement opportunities for each department within the current locations.
