Pros

Soar has shown me that it is possible to find something I am good at, passionate about, and able to make a livable wage from doing. This is a fast-paced job with a ton of unpredictability, which can absolutely be challenging, yet also incredibly rewarding. I have worked at 3 different centers and visited almost every Colorado-based center both previously as an RBT to do cross center coverage and as a BCBA completing a variety of assessments. Across all centers, you will find each center has it's own unique "personality" of sorts, but maintains those core values to create an environment where everyone (this includes clients, families, RBTs, all different types of clinicians, operations peeps, etc.) is having a fun, enjoyable time while also striving for greatness. The thing that makes Soar so special compared to other ABA companies, and other jobs I have had in the past, is that it truly fosters a collaborative environment with the integrated model. I love how passionate the company is about the ESDM as well. This model leads to individualized care that is compassionate and can be done within a variety of settings to encourage generalization of skills. I am excited to continue to grow with Soar like I have for the past 2.5 years.

Cons

Unpredictability of what your day could look like - this can be extremely anxiety inducing sometimes. Rapid growth - tends to cause quite a bit of chaos with staffing all of the centers/ramping up caseloads/etc., but I will say that this process has become A LOT smoother with each center Soar has opened.

Thank you for your thoughtful review and for being part of the Soar team for the past 2.5 years! We’re so glad to hear that Soar has provided you with a career that aligns with both your passions and skills while also offering a supportive and rewarding environment. Your experience across multiple centers gives you a unique perspective, and we love that you’ve found our integrated model and commitment to ESDM to be meaningful in providing compassionate, individualized care. We also appreciate your feedback about the unpredictability that can come with the role, as well as the challenges that accompany rapid growth. We recognize that variability in the day-to-day can be both exciting and, at times, overwhelming. As we continue to expand, we remain focused on improving processes to create more stability and ensure smoother transitions. It’s great to hear that you’ve noticed improvements with each new center, and we’ll keep striving to make things even better. Thank you again for your dedication and for all that you do to support our clients and team. We’re grateful to have you growing with us!

Pros

Founders of the company are still heavily involved and deeply value the mission. Staff feedback is always taken into account during changes and everyone genuinely cares about the progress of the kids and wellbeing of the staff.

Cons

As an ABA provider, the company is reliant on Medicaid and other insurance payments so pay rate can only be so high.
