Pros

I’ve been with Soar since its earlier days, and it’s been amazing to watch the company grow and provide so many opportunities for its employees. During my time here, I’ve had the chance to expand my skill set and advance in ways I never imagined. Soar is truly a place where hard work is recognized, and employees are supported in fast-tracking their careers. The work RBTs do is challenging but incredibly meaningful, and Soar ensures its staff feel valued and equipped to succeed. I’ve seen countless Behavior Therapists grow within the company, progressing to become clinicians and beyond. What’s even more inspiring is how Soar opens doors for those interested in opportunities outside of direct therapy. Many staff have transitioned into roles on the operations, people, and scheduling teams, thanks to the company’s focus on hiring from within. Soar is more than just a workplace; it’s a company that genuinely invests in its people. If you’re looking for a supportive environment where growth and development are prioritized, Soar is the place to be.

Cons

As a company that’s growing, frequent changes are inevitable. These changes can be challenging to navigate at times, but they are clearly tied to Soar’s commitment to improving processes, creating opportunities, and expanding its impact. While adapting to change isn’t always easy, it’s exciting to be part of a company that’s constantly evolving and striving to be better for both their employees and clients they serve.

Thank you for sharing your experience and feedback. We genuinely appreciate hearing from our team members, as every perspective helps us grow and refine our approach. At Soar Autism Center, we prioritize the fidelity of our organizational planning and the quality of both our business operations and the services we provide. We acknowledge that the healthcare industry presents certain constraints, and we continuously strive to make thoughtful decisions within these boundaries. Our leadership team brings over 50 years of collective experience in multi-site healthcare management, which guides us in navigating these challenges with a deep commitment to improvement. Soar maintains a non-retaliation policy related to providing feedback. We would not terminate an individual for adhering to our specified feedback channels. Listening to feedback - positive or negative - is central to our core value of continuous improvement. We actively seek insights from all levels whenever significant changes are on the horizon. For example, both our RBT and clinician career progression systems were designed with significant team member input. Team member input continues to guide the continued improvement of these systems. This commitment to improvement means we are always working to enhance communication, strengthen support systems, and provide clarity around roles and responsibilities.

Pros

Soar has a robust training program that maintains high expectations for staff and client services. They focus on helping everyone find their place within the company, and support career growth even beyond the role they were hired into, if that's what is desired. Soar strives to provide high level care to clients, and a high level experience to staff, and that is something that seems to be unparalleled in this industry.

Cons

As any ABA provider, Soar is a fast-paced environment that demands the ability to perform at a high level in a somewhat stressful environment. It is important to have the skills of persistence, adaptability, and resilience, as well as skills in emotional regulation and attentional regulation (multi-tasking, quickly switching from one task to another) in order to be successful, otherwise it can be easy to get overwhelmed and to burn out quickly. Being able to self-advocate and self-regulate are important skills to mitigate burnout and maintain career longevity in this field.
