Substantive Experience

Pros

There are many aspects to the role which help prepare for more senior/advances roles, whether or not you wish to achieve that within the company or elsewhere. Being a coaching coordinator helps prepare you by familiarizing you with multiple internal processes that go on just to make the coaching possible. You also hone valuable team-working and communication skills.

Cons

Due to the independent nature of the job, sometimes poor communicators can get in the way of doing your job efficiently. Otherwise, its a rather substantive role where you get to see the benefits and output of your work firsthand.

Pros

It's such a fun work environment, and it's so awesome to connect with the kids and teach them a new skill.

Cons

The only downside I thought was the long training process, but even then it wasn't too bad. Besides, it's important to get trained properly on how to handle 2-5 year olds when you're going to be working with mainly them.

Pros

$18 per hour was good pay.

Cons

Lots of preparation for practices which goes unpaid.
