Pros

There is absolutely no way that an intern makes more than $10 an hour. That is a corporate non-negotiable, no matter if you have your doctorate or high school diploma

Cons

I don’t think there is a single person at Social Impact who would tell you they are able to have a satisfactory work/life balance. They make attempts which seem to benefit the higher up more than any good employees they are trying to keep in their service.

Pros

Great teams, very open to collaboration and sharing of lessons learned Many chances to explore personal interests re: region, type of work, and specific skill development Fun atmosphere Lots of personal development funds; encourage personal growth Management working towards work/life balance, attempting to limit overworking staff. Fairly high rate of upward progression; clear targets and skillsets required for advancement. Strong team structures and mid-level management.

Cons

Can be busy at times Have to learn quickly - often put into new projects or proposals and need to quickly understand them. Remote work is common for high-level management.

Pros

HR is a strong department

Cons

Senior management very weak: always looking for junior staff to blame, rather than fixing systemic issues
