Pros

Somewhat flexible hours, decent benefits, ability to work overtime. Ability to work from home 3 days per week after one year.

Cons

Incredibly boring job reading forms and medical records all day. Yet also very frustrating because decision writers are under a strict metric to get the decisions done in a set number of hours and that is how your performance is evaluated but on the other hand the judges can be very demanding about how they want their decisions written and time doesn’t allow for that. I don’t see myself lasting here very long, mostly due to boredom. Oh, and they don’t pay for parking or your bar dues. I worked for state government and, as cheap as they were, those things were paid for.
