A privilege to serve

Pros

SSA employees care deeply about the mission. The agency is full of people who work incredibly hard to make sure the right check goes to the right person at the right time.

Cons

Like many other large organizations, it can be challenging to get things done quickly. There’s a game of “telephone” I.e., messages / instructions get distorted as things move up and down the chain of command.
