      Pros

      Stable place to work with plenty of support, direction, and clarity.

      Cons

      Slow growth (possibly due to recession aftermath) during my time there but even so I was given my pay increases.

      Pros

      Benefits. Time off. Job security. Pay is decent for the nature of the job.

      Cons

      Mundane work on an outdated computer system. Dealing with the public extremely challenging. SSI a nightmare to administer, constant lying and having to play detective with beneficiaries. Tons of paperwork.

      Pros

      Good salary and benefits. Flexible schedule. Paid holidays and you accrue sick and annual leave. Get to help people that need it. Great co-workers and office managers.

      Cons

      Many people you deal with are in rough parts of their life. Interviewing them multiple times a day, day after day has a tendency to start to bring you down and effect you if you let it. Lots of government red tape and bureaucracy.
