Pros

Very flexible with leave and credit hours. Flextime adds a great deal of convenience. Flexiplace, when you finally get it, is very nice.

Cons

Max of 2 days off per year for CLEs. Will not pay for or reimburse attorneys for CLEs. Starts attorneys at a lower pay grade than most other agencies. Career ladder ends lower than most agencies. Competitive promotion opportunities are few within OAO itself.

Pros

Ability to move up into better government job. Otherwise - as expected - phone calls are phone calls - and keeping under the five minute that is asked isn't always possible.

Cons

Breaks were on very strict time - don't take too long to go to the bathroom or you'll get a mouthful.

Pros

Enjoyed helping beneficiaries and the salary.

Cons

Totally inept management that mistreats employees. Managers are mostly people who couldn't perform technical work and were passed onward and upward when they failed at other jobs.
