Pros

It's a paycheck, co-workers can make the day better

Cons

Management treats employees like dirt, very stressful workload, you have no say in day-to-day tasks, rampant favoritism, promotion is dependent on how favored you are by management and not on how much work you do.

Pros

Great pay and benefits. Get to help other Americans. Work with the general public.

Cons

Working with the general public is both good and bad. Some of the Title 16 Program brings some hardships with the public. Also sometimes people upset with the government like at the IRS, they take it out on SSA as we are the most visible and present federal agency in the communities.
