Pros

Every quarter there seems to be new updates, products, and enhancements. Sharp people that are smart, innovative and go getters Lots of potential to provide solutions to all industries Product is absolutely solid solution that helps customers solve their KYC/CIPand fraud risk needs.

Cons

Working remote is tough, everyone is busy and employees seem to get bogged down with their own projects that they forget to lift their head up to see what everyone else is doing. CEO is extremely passionate and sometimes forgets that not everyone responds the same way to his feedback. Some reevaluation of his message delivery on his part would go a long way.

Pros

The possibility of being a good player in the market

Cons

A 36yr old CEO who knows the business but rules based upon books he has read. Total inability to set goals has led to 2+ years of ZERO commissions. Four layoffs in less than 3 years. Even worse the same day they announce layoffs Management announces open hiring requisitions. The culture is rock bottom. Even employees who travel with the CEO are looking for new employers.

Joining Socure places your career, reputation and livelihood on the line, so I'll spare you with bland 'pros'. Please allow me to help you with all the proper reasons why not to join.

Cons

When a leader exhibits traits of being a 'taker', unprofessional, and overly self-assured to the point of dismissing others' intelligence, it sets a tone that permeates throughout the organization. This attitude trickles down, influencing the behavior of direct reports and their subordinates, ultimately resulting in a culture where conformity to these negative traits or departure become the only viable options. Check out the list of leaders in Socure who are no longer with this company and then check out the CEO and his surrounding C-levels and SVP's. Look deeper into their professional paths and years of experience and ask yourselves if it meets your basic expectations of a professional manager/leader or does it read, too quick to be good... Socure is a company that runs itself towards its failed end and has been doing so with great talent for years, loosing money, customers, trust and talent. Leadership (CEO and down) pivoted the company's focus and structure several times, always exemplifying how little they care about the workforce and how strongly they believe in and unaware they are of their own incompetence. More them once, female employees would be talked-down to, or be underpaid knowingly, compared to their male colleagues. Managers are fighting for glory and throw their direct-reports under the bus if it comes to claiming responsibility. OKR's and bonuses are handled poorly in planning, synergy between teams. No wonder why other companies and solutions in the market are doing so much better. Much like this comment, you will find many others which detail the sad 'inside look' but really - read through the profiles of the leaders at this company, open crunchbase and check the money raised and evaluation drop, and ask yourself all the important questions. Also, reach out to former employees in roles you're applying for; worst case, you'll have a nice chat and a new contact; best case - you'll know first hand why you should keep looking and skip this one! * Career opportunity - lower your expectations... * Compensation and benefits - under market * Culture & Values - the company may have had those but eliminated them with the help of new and uncaring HR leadership. * Diversity & Inclusion - probably the worst examples I've seen in the industry. * Senior management - only a handful are true leaders, the others are there just tripping each other or blaming the workforce for their lack of leadership. * Work/life balance - remove 'life' and 'balance' and...yeah that's pretty much it.
