Pros
The job is easy in places and the people you work along side are great
Cons
Working for Sodexo at the royal Stoke university hospital started out as a really great job then old management left and new ones came in and turned this job into a nightmare, bullying, safety concerns, favouritism, no staff facilities, overworked, always short staffed the list goes on The managers get off to bullying their staff, the amount of people I have seen come and go from this place leaving because management are making their lives hell is horrendous. If your not a favourite of the manager or supervisors then you will have a horrendous time, if your a favourite you can get away with whatever you want and will get whatever annual leave you want even though there is already too many off. They band on about 3 checks of safety but then demand staff to work in dangerous areas they have not had the adequate training for and couldn’t care less when you bring up the 3 checks of safety because surprise surprise we have no staff. No dedicated staff rooms, lockers in plain sight of people not behind locked doors, and no changing facilities, staff are getting changed in dirty smelly toilets. People are majorly overworked covering a magnitude of areas for nothing extra because they don’t have enough staff to cover where and I quote “working supervisors” like to delegate jobs but not come out and help like they are supposed to do. Staff get yelled at and spoken to like dirt in front of medical staff, patients and visitors and nothing is kept secret personal things are spread around like wildfire nothing said in private is private and don’t expect to be believed because you will always be treated as a liar I implore you to think before you apply to work for Sodexo at the royal Stoke because if you Do your in for a horrible time
