Pros

Decent pay for the position, flexibility, decent benefits package.

Cons

Management is horrendous, watch your hours closely, or you could be shorted. Company complaint system does nothing, make sure you obtain and retain all documentation and correspondence, or when you quit, they'll try to label your reason for leaving as 'no call, no show', extreme lack of professionalism within department, including department director, total dysfunction and discord, severe lack of communication between departments heads that gets placed upon lower rung employees.

Pros

$10 meal credit per day; good benefits; salary decent ; they offer tuition reimbursement ; room for growth

Cons

Most managers are in their positions because of their longevity with Sodexo but they are not knowledgeable. Longevity doesn’t mean you know how to do your job...so when most people don’t know how to do their job they resort to political games, micromanaging, just a bunch of ignorant and stupidity... Sodexo has a great reputation but from my experience in Los Angeles it doesn’t represent what the company stands for. If you went to school, have student loans to pay back, worked hard to learn your craft, know that if you go the Sodexo route you will have to work alongside people who may feel inferior due to your expertise. You also have to wait 2 years to move to a different account so if you apply to one make sure you question the culture and environment during interview. Ask questions!

Pros

Easy to get a job. Sodexo is always hiring because of high turnover: the ratio of the number of workers that had to be replaced in a given time period to the average number of workers.

Cons

Managers are inclined to prefer those who flatter them and, consequently, have preferential treatments. Almost non-existent background check, apart from the drug test in some Sodexo locations, not all of them. They do not require vaccination or other things required by other corporations. Usually Sodexo offers from 9 to 12 dollars per hour, much less than currently paid by other employers. At least it's a Sodexo that serves the military or the Government and, therefore, with a Union.
