Pros

- I made some great friends - The job (s) are easy - Flexible hours - Benefits - Laid back - When you got finished with your work you got to sit for the rest of your shift. - Sometimes there would be fun activities you could attend - Discounts - Free food and drink

Cons

- Sometimes it would be hectic you would be the only one doing discharges if people called out (which was a lot) and you never got any help especially from the SV who is supposed to be helping in the first place but likes to sit and yawn and engage in drama with other coworkers instead. - Drama. People being two-faced with one another, management would pick favorites over the ones who actually did do their jobs. SV encourages this type of behavior and don’t bother taking any of your problems or concerns to the manager of this place she never does anything about them. - They will overwork you and take advantage of you. - They lie about the amount of $ you get paid. They can change it anytime and have meaning they lowered it. - Training isn’t that good so good luck. - You will probably have a panic attack at this particular location because I have and so have many others that have worked at this location. - SV yells at you instead of calmly speaking like an adult. She’s made other coworkers cry and she’s slammed and kicked open doors when mad making a big scene in the place. - Trust NO ONE. - SV and her favorite couple of employees made fun of gays and also acts like gays have a disease. You’ll know all about that if you work here. - SV and Manager love twisting things and spitting them back out to other fellow employees who work there. Happens with anyone. - Dont over share here.

Pros

- Teamwork: We often work as part of a team that includes dietitians, chefs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. - Varied Tasks: Your duties might include preparing meals, setting up trays, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and managing inventory. This variety can keep the job interesting. - Entry-Level: Many positions don't require extensive education or experience, making it a viable option for those seeking an entry-level position in the healthcare or culinary fields.

Cons

- Physical Demands: The job can be physically demanding, requiring long periods of standing, lifting heavy objects, and moving around the kitchen or hospital facility. - Emotional Challenges: Depending on the setting, you might work with individuals who have specific health conditions, dietary restrictions, or mobility issues. It can be emotionally challenging to witness their struggles. - Fast-Paced Environment: We often work in fast-paced environments, especially during mealtimes. This pace might be stressful for some individuals. - Irregular Hours: We operate 24/7, which means you might be required to work evenings, weekends, or even holidays. - Limited Advancement: While the role offers valuable experience, there might be limited opportunities for upward mobility within the same position. Advancement might require further education or certification. - Low Pay: The pay for dietary aides can vary, but it's often on the lower end of the pay scale for healthcare and culinary positions. - Repetitive Tasks: Some aspects of the job, such as food preparation and tray setup, can be repetitive over time.
