Thank you so much for your 5 star review! SofterWare has long fostered a family-like approach. We learned years ago that it's our people that make the difference between success and failure, and if you don’t take care of your employees first, you can’t help your customers. We’re so happy and proud you’ve recognized that. Your feelings are backed up by other employees, as seen in our Top Workplace awards, which includes culture excellence awards too, such as Employee Well-Being and Work-Life Flexibility. Thanks also for your feedback on our management team, which works hard to foster this environment. Their focus on employee and customer needs is guiding the company into even greater success. Sincerely, Lauren Sheehan, President

Thank you so much for your 5 star review! We couldn’t agree more with your comment about “Great family-like culture” comment, which is something we work hard to create at SofterWare. From treating each other as professionals and with respect, to events that bring us together virtually and in person, to giving people the flexibility to have a true-work life balance, all of these contribute to that experience. You raise a fair point about 100% remote work and what it takes to thrive in this environment. Until Covid, we all worked together in the same office, which helped establish that family feeling. Going remote was definitely an adjustment, and it took some time to make it work well. But now we’re seeing the benefits of being able to hire some of the best people from all over North America, not just in the Philadelphia area. Working remotely is especially great for people who have families, who don’t like to commute, and can collaborate virtually. We do offer the ability for people to go into offices near their home should they need that space. We also get together during the year for company in-service days and meetings. These are great opportunities to get to know each other better, and share experiences. Thanks for all your years at SofterWare, contributing to the family-like environment, and making this such a great place to work! Sincerely, Lauren Sheehan, President

Pros

Great company with great mission and values. Fair compensation packages and solid leadership.

Cons

Feels a bit behind the times and internal communication is busy and feels a bit frazzled. Progress is always taking place but seems to be at a very slow and steady pace. That being said this company has been around for a long time and slow and steady wins races!

Thank you for taking the time to provide a review! We really appreciate all your “Pros” comments. Those are all things we take great pride in, and we’re so glad they are recognized and appreciated. We also appreciate your advice and other comments. Our VP of Development came on board just a few short years ago, and since then he has built an incredible team of developers from all over North America (and the world). Together with project management and other leaders, they developed a multi-year strategic plan for how to work and what to work on. He noted it will get faster with time, and we hope you’re now seeing this plan come to fruition. This year, many exciting new features and important technology and security updates are being released at an ever faster pace, while still maintaining the quality our clients have come to expect in our 40+ year history. The next couple years are going to be so exciting for our clients as we incorporate the latest tech, such as AI, to make their work lives even easier, and our products/services more powerful and useful in fulfilling their nonprofit’s mission. With regard to communication, we urge you to share with your manager more details on how we can better communicate internally. As you know, we have a monthly meeting every second Friday to share important department updates. We also use internal communication tools such as Slack and email to provide updates on product releases, new content for our clients and future clients, and changes staff need to know regarding our products and SofterWare news. We also have in-service days where the whole company gets together to ask questions of leadership, learn more and work together. All that said, we know we can always do better and continually strive to do so. We love to incorporate feedback from our team, so please share your thoughts and ideas with your manager, HR or any of our executives. Thank you! Sincerely, Lauren Sheehan, President
