Pros

This will be the last job I have in my life. With at least 15 years to go to retirement there’s no way I’ll be leaving SofterWare. Since day one of my employment I’ve been encouraged to learn, take on additional responsibilities, given space to make my own decisions, make a difference in not only the employee’s careers, but change the world in how we help our clients exceed their own missions. Every day we have the opportunity to improve and make changes that meet our goals. I’ve been given the chance to learn, even more so, how business works, with training, collaboration, and feedback. The environment is non-judgmental and we all work to improve both personally and professionally. I have the flexibility to work from home if needed, put my family first, and still contribute every day. SofterWare is focused on improving the employee experience knowing that ultimately it will help the business grow and make the company more successful. SofterWare gives more than it takes from its employees and it makes everyone want to be better and work harder because of it. We work daily to live by our Values which makes us as individuals more well-rounded working at our best. Employees are empowered to learn and it’s a big focus for the company to arm us with the information so that we can make good decisions. It’s a fun place to work, there are a lot of laughs in company meetings as well as team meetings. It’s about the people, and enjoying what we do. I’ve recommended four people to work at SofterWare and each of them couldn’t be happier to be here. It’s the place to be, trust me you won’t regret it, not for a minute.

Cons

As we grow and continue to have success there is a need to hire more employees. I think that we could find better ways for everyone to know all employees and their roles. You never know what talents your coworkers have that you could tap into when needed.

Thank you for your review, and if we ever go on a recruiting trip, I’m bringing you with me! We appreciate you telling us about your experience so that we can recognize what you value about our culture, so we can continue to improve on the areas that are most important to you. You have captured the essence of what we hope makes SofterWare such a special place. We continue to grow, and are especially grateful to you for the 4 employee referrals! So glad that you all enjoy working here. Our Social Committee is continually inviting employees to events like our recent holiday lunch, which featured so much food we literally ate for days! We are thrilled with the work that our Gives Back Committee has done both in the area of employee volunteer events like our recent afternoon volunteering for Aid for Friends and collecting over 2,700 pound of food last year for Loaves and Fishes. Thanks for the feedback to be transparent with our communications; it's something we feel is important and will continually strive to do. Kathy

Pros

Working with nonprofit clients is great, and there are a lot of good, hardworking people at the company. Nice building to work in.

Cons

Some upper management are very dishonest, controlling, vindictive and unimaginative. A lot of infighting at this company due to poor management. Too much gossiping, tearing people down.

A Great Small Company

Pros

Overall SofterWare has a good small company (community) atmosphere and this allows for flexibility you wouldn't traditionally find in a larger software company.

Cons

In some ways the size of the company might limit upward mobility, but I am sure inspired individuals have room for increased responsibility and pay.

Having worked at SofterWare (and taken our many, many surveys - thank you!), you know we value all feedback as a way to continuously improve upon our culture and processes. As we grow, we continue to focus on each employee's professional development goals. Each year Doug, our CEO, presents a State of the Company update. In addition, our Product Managers and members of our Leadership share their vision via a roadmap presentation. Thank you for the time you have taken to provide your feedback. You are welcome to contact me to discuss your experience. We’re sorry that we were unable to exceed (or meet) your expectations. We wish you lots of success with your future career endeavors. Kathy
