Pros

Great projects at Sogeti, 6% match for 401k which I have not seen in any company up until now, 10000 dollars is given yearly to any employee for higher education. Sogeti provides proper training and gives you money for certifications. There are lots of social events and people are very friendly.

Cons

Low Pay, people are not paid as Valued. Senior consultants are constantly leaving the company, searching for a better paid opportunities.

Pros

If you have the abliity to create revenue for the company, Sogeti is a great place for you to work . I'm sure that people who create revenue through the acquisition of new business are aggressively promoted and constantly praised for their work. Sogeti rewards profitability and if you are interested in creating margins and getting their people put on engagements, again, this is the place for you. A good reason to work for Sogeti would be if you are already an experienced consultant and have a client list. They are very fond of the pursuit of new places to contract.

Cons

Sogeti is completely a bottom line company. The benefits are substandard and the people placing consultants do not have much in the way of a technical background. Most people peddle products to get a cut of licensing (Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, etc.). Others who don't necessarily peddle products are simply trying to get the consultants that work for Sogeti placed. Skill set is not important to them. If you are a more experienced and specialized consultant, you should not expect the account managers to seek out business related at all to your specialty. In fact, if you have experience, you will probably be expected to create revenue yourself.

Pros

Great training possibilities Wide access to the market, (insurance, bank, industrie, public sector)

Cons

lack of respect from managers to their direct employee, poor management Law is not respected when IT professionals worked on the client's premises, the number of working hours can't allowed you to balance correctly your life. Managers barely see their employees as they work on client's premises. So when evaluation interview comes, they barely know the employee, and what he did. Empoyee's aspirations are hardly taken into account or if it's the case, it will happen but maybe in a year! I have the impression that only managers take benefits (in term of salary) of the company..
