Pros

Stock and vacation pay, Many great people at the trench level that make strive to create a good experience for the customer.

Cons

read Yelp, BBB and Glassdoor. No one is minding the store. customer has been forgotten in the thrash since post IPO. All customer care is administrated from Las Vegas. Poor communication and new hires that are not trained to place the customer first. very obvious that many of the glassdoor reviews are written by company insiders. would not be surprised if they post a position for someone to write reviews to counter the poor reviews they receive.

Pros

When I was first hired it was the perfect work-life balance. My requirements that got me to my second interview were: MBA, previous work exp.- owner and management exp., and motivation to run this business as my own. Earning power and great potential to achieve my goals were foreseeable.

Cons

As of today, Solarcity has changed my position to 10-7 clocking in and out, can not manage as my own business, pay structure is different. There is not a work-life balance when my quota has not been adjusted according to days worked. For example if I only have worked 10 days in a month, and still expected to hit a "30 day" quota- there is no "work-life balance". Previously, we (FEA's) were able to schedule our FEC's to help us generate Opps when we were not at the store. The FEA job has been reduced to an average retail job that can not support a family, nor a single person. As a "celeb FEA" last year- as they called me. I only earned 27,000- putting me in the poverty income bracket as a mother of two. Sad!

Pros

Some qualified leads Company laptop Managers are very passionate Great co-workers

Cons

Don't believe these reviews on here. Most of them are written by the HR department. If you want a real sense sort the reviews by lowest first and that will give you a realistic sense of what this place is like. When you start they will make grandiose promises of how much money you'll make and how you're doing the environment a solid. What they don't tell you is that scheduling is a nightmare (you'll never have an install crew show up on time or even the right day sometimes), install problems are rampant (holes left in roofs), you'll be required to attend webinars that solely exist to brainwash you into serving the company even further (every single one the owner would tear up and then pull himself together, almost like clockwork!), the purchase price and even recently the lease price are so overpriced compared to the competition who offer a superior product at the same time. Yelp reviews will be mentioned constantly by prospective customers.
