Pros

Looked like you could meet some good people and the break room was cool. Great business idea but poorly run.

Cons

Boiler Room job. Your pay will stay around $11/hr or less, if you do the math for 4-6 months. Most deals fall through because of red tape. If you don't have a ton of money saved for at least 4-6 months then you will be sad you took the job. It seemed like a used car salesman gathering in my opinion. I wish I was not promised or sold a bag of wind. I left a great job for broken promises. Get use to the word overtime because you will be working 10-14 days a lot.

Pros

You typically work alone - freedom. Good health benefits and 401k after one month of employment. Nice coworkers. Typical work day is 10am-6pm, but that's flexible.

Cons

On average in Ventura/Santa Barbara counties the sale closure rate is 10% and on average you might get 50 potential sales. Therefore, on average you'll get paid for 5 sales a month and be paid $180 for each sale. Altogether, you'd make $900/month in commissions plus base salary. They will exaggerate how good the sales/commissions are. Even the best salesmen weren't making great commissions. You aren't compensated for gas and you will have to drive long distances. The work calendar can change without prior notice. You might wake up thinking you're supposed to work in Simi Valley, but then you find out you were assigned to work in Goleta.

Pros

The hours were good, makes family life easy.

Cons

The pay is awful starting and commission structure can take forever to get it all, lead quality is poor at best. Generating own leads is not easy and depending on the area non existant. Support was poor, manager worked with me once in 6 months, training needs major improvement. In Massachusetts most people don't qualify. Few people had company car. Huge turnover numbers most tenure people are a year in sales
