Pros
The culture within the company is supportive. Working sales requires employee results. SolarCity gives you the tools to succeed and adapt to the growing market that is renewable energy. SolarCity gives individuals the control to grow their personal market with compensation that rewards individual levels of output. Every day I am motivated to be better as opposed to being demanded to be better. Leadership opportunities present themselves as markets grow so I never feel 'stuck'. Benefits packages are great, plenty of options to choose from! I don't feel stuck paying for options I do not need. SolarCity has spent alot of time and energy building a brand- one of the most recognizable brands in the industry that I am proud to protect and represent on a daily basis. It's true that if you take care of the brand, the brand will take care of you.
Cons
You don't hang up the 'SolarCity' affiliation at the end of the work day. Although this isn't a problem for me, some people may feel they want to leave their work at their workplace. Being flexible with scheduling and customer communication is a must. The company is growing at a rapid rate which means there will be growing pains. Being flexible with working models of operation is a must. Individuals must be able to handle adversity and stay positive and have faith.
