Not a good company to work for.

Pros

SolarCity pays a good starting salary. Some jobs have the freedom to come and go as they please.

Cons

If you’re a girl it’s hard to move up in a position that’s not secretarial. In Arizona it’s very male dominated and girls are not taken seriously and it’s very big on the “good old boys club.” Girls are NOT considered for management positions in Arizona. Some of the ROM’s Regional Operations Managers constantly hits on the female employees and there have been drug problems in warehouses. Upper management is aware of this and do nothing about it. Corporate wise they are always changing things and will get a random idea and have to change everything. There is no job security since they will do massive layoffs of a position after they just made up the position and hired for it in the past few years.

Pros

Every day i get up and help to make the world a better place. There is tons of room for growth and promotions at SolarCity. I Typically make my schedule. But i love to work hard and it pays off if you do. This job is not for people who dont want to work hard. Pay can be great if you keep at it!!

Cons

SolarCity is growing incredibly fast. If you cant handle change, this is not for you. The change is always for the better and i love change so it is not a con for me.

Pros

I have the opportunity to impact the world in such a positive way, that 5 to 10 years from now I will look back and say " I was there". Traveling around the country (maybe the World soon), meeting new people and having fun. All this just by educating people into solar.

Cons

We are growing so fast, that the time you will spend with your friends and family will decrease. Great time management should help you keep track of your tasks, so you have time for everything.
