Pros
They recognize talent and promote from within. Their friends & family program is great. Approximately 2006 I quit my job managing a hotel because all three of my brothers became terminally ill. My husband encouraged me to take care of them while I could. After approximately 6 years it was time for me to return to the work force. The most depressing day was when three (3) separate temporary agencies wouldn't even accept an application from me as they did not believe they could place me because I had been out of my field too long. I couldn't even get a job as a temporary secretary despite my solid work history, my computer based knowledge & experience or solid references. When a position as a part-time warehouse clerk became available a site surveyor recommended me through Solar City's friends & family program. I was promoted to Warehouse Manager within five months and love my job. Compensation is good, working hours are good, the culture here is comfortable and encouraging. There are so many avenues to find answers to questions and you feel like they really care about you as a person (not just an employee), they want you to move up in the company. I am so lucky to work for a company that is not only committed to move the planets health and sustainability forward, but also my health and sustainability as an individual in a tremendous group of people.
Cons
Would like my stock to vest a little quicker. Like immediately
