Worst Company To Work For

Pros

you will have a paycheck for a while

Cons

They own Audatex and many other companies. The only reason Solera is founded and moved offices to TX was to make the CEO and his friends rich. So many to share. The CEO is all about making himself and his friends rich....at the expense of the employees. They have a long history of cutting budgets, staff, resources, pay and bonuses. It's happened many times where bonuses were promised but not paid, always finding some excuse or non-qualifier, all while the CEO buys another Lamborghini or expensive ranch in Jackson, WY. Salesforce has been slashed over the years despite reaching and exceeding sales quotas. All other departments have been affected as well. They have a long history of M&A's all to boost C level pay and again have excuses to trim down staff and products. The culture has suffered immensely leading to leads, supervisors and managers that will not stick up for employees all for fear of losing their own jobs for speaking up. They have also numerous times laid off staff only to realize that they can't fill the position with qualified or knowledgeable people, so they go back to their ex-employees and offer then jobs at reduced pay and benefits. If you end up working here, it's your own fault

TOXIC Culture & Theory X Leadership

Pros

Immediate work team was very cohesive

Cons

Management by fear and chaos; intense leadership and HR attrition; pay increases only awarded to 10% of employees...coincidentally all the CEO's direct reports, so be it; those hired with bonus and equity potential lost them without replacement when the company went private and the company didn't address it (>30% pay cut for those affected); no training department and no support for ongoing professional development; no focus on building a diverse workforce; executives publicly demean employees and gloat that it will discourage others from disagreeing with them; investment in client-facing products has been extremely limited, while HQ has been redesigned and redecorated multiple times at great expense. If the CEO could run the company without employees, he would because he has so little respect for them or their contributions.

Pros

Good snacks in break room

Cons

Stay away.. This place has many issues that are not worth your stress and I will emphasize and explain.. First, they purchased several companies and are now moving their accounting to South Jordan and making processes standard only to then lay-off employees once it is good to go. Second, many of the executives have been leaving since this process has started several months ago. Third, in one of the accounting teams there is a manager that plays favorite, the manager has hired several former employees and treats them like queens, goes out to lunch with them, and everyone can tell that they are his favorite. Fourth, the conversion is a mess, disorganized and corporate really stinks at giving proper access to be able to accomplish your job, and then they expect you to be in the office for 70 hours on the week of month-end, and then there is no work the other 3 weeks of the month.... Stay Away
