Pros

Did not have my supervisor hanging over my head. She worked in Westlake.

Cons

Working at Solera has been a frustrating experience, and I feel compelled to share a few honest thoughts for those considering a position here. The Reality: Overemphasis on DEI: The company’s focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion feels performative and forced. Instead of building a culture based on merit, skill, or performance, Solera seems more concerned with optics and checkboxes. It’s distracting from the actual work and progress the company should be focused on. Process Paralysis: There are far too many layers of processes for even the simplest tasks. It often feels like more effort goes into following internal procedures than actually solving problems or improving customer outcomes. No Raises or Recognition: Raises are practically nonexistent. Hard work is rarely acknowledged, and career growth feels arbitrary. Motivation suffers when effort and outcomes aren't tied to compensation or advancement. Leadership Disconnect: The leadership culture is infantilizing. Upper management frequently uses emojis and GIFs to communicate — which comes across as unprofessional and condescending. It creates a lack of seriousness around important company matters. Opaque Decision-Making: Transparency is not a strength at Solera. Decisions are made at the top without explanation, and the rationale behind them is rarely shared. It often feels like the company is being run behind a curtain — think Wizard of Oz, but without the magic. Bottom Line: Solera may be a major player in its space, but internally, it's struggling. The company is bogged down by shallow culture initiatives, poor communication, can't pay it's bills and a leadership style that doesn't inspire confidence or respect. Until these foundational issues are addressed, I can’t recommend it as a rewarding place to work.
