Pros

The base salary is decent, they give you free lunch every day… yeah that’s about it.

Cons

Where to begin? If you value you your sanity and your mental health you will stay far away from this place. The amount of shady things that go on with management (let’s not call them leadership) is unreal. Continuously doing things to benefit themselves or their favorites. When 5% of the sales floor is hitting quota month over month, you would think a change would be implemented to increase morale. That doesn’t happen. The only changes that happen in this place are for the WORSE. It is unbelievable how management couldn’t care less about their people.

Pros

If you need a foot in the door you can often get hired on potential and get the first title for your resume.

Cons

**Yes, I'm bitter. No, I wasn't fired.** They say executives are more likely to be psychopaths- Solera is a case study. Leadership is pompous and cruel. They are verbally abusive to managers, consider the phrase "work life balance" a curse, and expect the same buy in from their support staff making 60k as leaders at 3mil. I was hired during a time of "cultural transformation" but since my first few months were up things have only gotten worse and worse. No thought put into culture, and any HR staff that would be interested in working on this is far too overworked from understaffing. Good luck even getting a question answered at this point. They will lowball salary for "potential for growth"- this growth will only come in your workload and responsibilities, even if you get the title bump a year late your salary raise will still be well below market for the job you've been "proving you can take on." There is no trust in employees, and you will be reprimanded for slightly low hours spent on your computer (activity is tracked by spyware) even when you are exceeding your metrics. Everyone is tired and frustrated. Most companies will sometimes give a nod to employee interest, if for nothing more than reputation and press- Solera has no such concern. They are focused only on short term financial indicators for their investors and will squeeze a penny from or screw over their employees at any opportunity. Salaries are often undercut with the promise of bonuses/commission/incentive but these policies are usually unclear and Solera frequently fails to hold up their end of the deal. Pretty sure they're at least 6 months out from annual reviews and performance bonuses haven't been paid out. "Diversity initiatives" and development programs like WINS (Women in Solera) are talked up as their commitment to DEI but are invite only (sorority style), with no clear policy of how candidates are chosen, employees aren't even told when recruitment is happening.

Alright company

Pros

Great company to get experience, and build skills to further your career.

Cons

The management is terrible! Once trained, you will NOT develop in the role, you will not develop as a professional. They will keep you in a role for 5-10 years if you stay long enough. The company is focused on revenue and does not even give merit raises. It's really a joke, the management teams are very dismissive to its employees who state concerns about processes and how things work. In the role, there are folks on other teams that has no idea of what they are talking about.
