      Unique culture with great growth opportunity for the company and employees

      Pros

      Very strong cultural values - 80/20, 30/30, 90/10 are not buzz words but are ingrained throughout the organization. Amazing benefits/great total comp. Employees are empowered to move things forward and make improvements and are accountable for the results of the entire team.

      Cons

      A high level of flexibility does produce more complexity and a certain amount of chaos. You need to be a true self starter and confident in driving your own career in order to succeed within Solera.

      Pros

      Good people! What else do I need to say. These people work darn hard and just because of a few bad apples in management (many are gone by the way) you get some of these comments. Things have and continue to change around this place. Not perfect but moving in a much much better direction. I'm hearing customers are loving us and we are closing deals left and right. I just talked to a new hire coming from a BIG name software company. That is very cool! This company has a challenging work ethic and it took time for us to connect. I believe all is in place now and great things are coming!

      Cons

      Management! I'm seeing and hearing great things so don't pull the plug and disappoint!

      People are friendly, helpful. Generally work life balance is good.

      Cons

      Compensation is not good. No clear direction from management. Minimal carrier growth.

      Dear Software Engineer, Thank you for your feedback. I agree we have great people and good work life balance. Recently our people created a one-of-kind mobile application for MAACO: http://www.fenderbender.com/FenderBender/July-2014/Maaco-Launches-Mobile-App/. This is just one example of what our people are delivering for our clients - in this case cool Innovation! Regarding compensation, we use Mercer market data to benchmark our people each year. Markets can and do move quickly at times, but in general, I think we pay very competitively on base salaries, and more than half our of associates also participate in an incentive plan. I was surprised to read your comment on "clear direction from management". I know our MD has been very clear with his management team and the next level down leaders on our 80/20 priorities.
