Change and Nepotism

Pros

Autopoint is an okay place to work. The managers try very hard to do what is best for the company and the employees. Compensation is okay but the benefits are very expensive.

Cons

Constant change for the sake of change especially now that Solera is involved. Also the Solera principles feel like they are trying to indoctrinate us into a religion. Nepotism used to be a huge problem for the company in the old days and it went away only to come back again recently. How many managers relatives work here now. 5 maybe 6. Wonder if Solera is okay with that.

Pros

I can't complain. Pay is about what my last place paid. Benefits here are way way better. I like the people I work with and the hours.

Cons

Start a management training program. I would like to apply for a manager position in the future and it would be great if the company had a training program.

Dear Current Employee, Thank you for the feedback. I do believe we pay competitively and I know we have very good benefits as we benchmark them with our benefits broker every year. Thank you for the feedback on a management training program. My team is in the process of laying out a road map of manager training that we will be launching in September. We are excited about the content we have created/will leverage, and look forward to getting both current and prospective managers and supervisors trained. Thank you for the suggestion of guest speakers. I think that is a good idea that we will pilot. Thank you again for your feedback. Regards, Greg von der Linden Vice President of Human Resources

Worst place I ever worked in my entire career

Pros

Only positive thing I can say is that I met some nice people - those who do the day-to-day work

Cons

No induction as new employee - figure out yourself. Weird culture - Line managers must keep their mouths shut and don't challenge senior managers --"Yes Sir". Senior leaders are the worst ever --Rude, unprofessional, micromanagers, no dialogue - only orders and finger pointing despite their 90/10 core principle. Overworked employees - on 7 x 24 - loads of overtime is expected norm. Inhuman treatment and lack of respect for basic human values. All Senior Management (and Line Managers) are ALL Male - the boy's club only. Constant changes in leadership - strategy not always clear.
