While I don't mind being motivated, it would've been really nice to understand what I could've improved on before I was let go instead of at the moment. It came out of nowhere and was quite shocking. I feel that sometimes focusing so much on the positives can shield a person from seeing where one needs to improve.
It was especially strange since my numbers were relatively solid according to several people that I talked to and the numbers backed this up. They were high despite the problem. I feel like being more open with my progress would've allowed me to solve the problem since I was told that I adapted pretty quickly because of how coachable I was told that I was.
- Politics
During my time there, I felt like there was tension between the two offices when it came to rules of engagement. I remember several instances where it seemed like the rules of engagement that we were supposed to follow were sometimes not followed or that there was a feeling of treatment issues between the different offices. I think this is definitely something that needs to be cleared up because it can damper morale in an otherwise friendly environment.
- Social Media
While this company does have its mark on social media by at least having some exposure, it's falling into the same trap that many organizations are when it comes to social media. It's becoming reliant on posts alone through updates on the profiles of recruiters and the social media pages but it could easily lock in the industry by building a community on LinkedIn and using it to engage pharmacists, techs and clients with specific issues and becoming the go to source for industry trends. Sharing updates and articles are solid, but they need to be driven towards community building instead of just posts alone and hope that the same people in the networks will like them.
It also might want to consider reaching new outlets for reaching people in order to keep the supply high for specific talent especially when trying to reach those in specific in demand environments.
