Pros

They have many openings in Michigan.

Cons

I was employed there for over a year and had to change recruiters twice due to the lack of communication. When I formally put in my notice, they didn't even call or follow up. TERRIBLE communication during my time there- no one ever checked in, very infrequent responses to emails, and poor pay/benefits.

We are really sorry that you had major communication issues during your time with Soliant. That is never our intention. We would love to help make the situation right and have you speak with one of our division directors. If you would like to continue the conversation, please email Khannan.Teyf@soliant.com. Again, we apologize for any missteps in communication.

Pros

Great people but that’s about it.

Cons

Pay is unbelievably low for the industry and being expected to run a full desk. There are a lot of shady back door deals done which doesn’t give new hires a fair chance of succeeding. Their PTO package is the smallest I’ve ever seen with no offered sick days.

Pros

Easy hiring process. Decent pay.

Cons

Unfortunately the cons definitely outweighed the pros. I was a contract nurse in a school district. At first my recruiter/contact person was very responsive and helpful, but after I started it became harder and harder to get a hold of anyone to resolve issues. They only give you contact info for your recruiter, so your hands are really tied and you can't talk to anyone else easily. There were mistakes in my paychecks that took months (not kidding here) to resolve. My recruiter always said he'd submitted the requests, and if that's true I felt bad for pestering, but the bottom line is he needed to be following up to make sure things were completed. He would take weeks to reply to repeated email and phone contact - extremely frustrating. Then when they finally call you back they make some excuse about volunteering or being on vacation...for three weeks or more??? The other huge con to working as a contract nurse here is that in the school system, it's not easy being a contract employee. The districts typically don't want to rehire you as a contract nurse (because it costs them double what the nurse actually gets paid) but I couldn't be hired directly because of the non-compete clause in the contract. So, I had to find a different job for next year. Of course Soliant said they would have been happy to find me a new position, but I don't want to bounce to a new position every year, so I got out, thankfully. Additionally, the benefits are kind of blah.
