Pros

Solution Design Group is a great company with amazing consultants and administrative staff. The company has a great atmosphere, and has received a "Best Places to Work" award. I learned a lot in the summer that I worked there and had many opportunities to experience the marketing process of an IT consulting firm.

Cons

There are very few cons about working at Solution Design Group. I think that their marketing staff, which consists of a Marketing Director and an Intern, is a little small to meet the needs of the quickly growing company.

Pros

Employee Benefits, Company Cabins, Revenue Sharing, Working for a myriad of industries, Awesome Culture, Company get-togethers, Support, Conferences, Technology Allowance, Working with the best talent in the Twin Cities, Clubs (Community Involvement, Communities of Practice, Employee Experience, Book Club, sdgFit, PALS), Perks, Volunteering (Second Harvest, Ronald McDonald, Salvation Army, et. al,) 401k matching @ 15% (i.e., contribute $1, they contribute $0.15), HSA with low deductibles (< $3000 individual)

Cons

Clients and gigs can sometimes be painful to work with, but sdg will have your back in hard times. Sometimes resource managers can expect too much of you or not understand the amount of work you're accomplishing, but it depends on the RM you receive.

Pros

Awesome culture, great benefits, competitive pay. They were ranked #1 best place to work in the Twin Cities for a reason. They treat their employee's right. Fun atmosphere and you really do feel like you're cared about within the organization. Tons of awesome perks like employee cabins and fun company meetings.

Cons

I think any cons would be with the customer themselves since it is a consulting firm.
