      Pros

      Solvay is a great Global Company with a high priority on sustainability and corporate integrity. High value on Safety and it's not just talk. Global corporation that encourages growth and mobility.

      Cons

      Dead wood is allowed to linger without consequences. Pulls moral of entire local plant down. This seems to be a Corporate HR decision as many sites complain about same issue. High performers are overloaded (overwhelmed) and subject to burnout while they watch the under performers sitting in their offices on the internet.

      Good company to learn, not to grow

      Pros

      Many opportunities to learn and get responsabilities quickly. The sites team are "lean" hence you get to see and take part in many different activites.

      Cons

      Each plant is secluded. Hence you do not get the feeling of being part of big organization and even less of a multinational company. Also as HR are inexistant you do not get any options to create your own career path or find other positions within the company. Long story short, except if you are part of the graduate program, do not hope in changing site or position.
