Pros
Easily one of the most positive work environments I have ever experienced. If you are in any way nerdy, geeky, dorky, this is the place for you. Leadership is actually leadership here. We're all one giant team. I absolutely love my leader and am thankful for such a great experience so far here. There are good perks. PTO, insurance, company parties, ect. Insurance is a little costy compared to what you get paid.
Cons
Even if I were completely debt free, I would not be able to afford to live on my own at this pay. I currently live in a very tiny place with 2 roommates and can still barely afford rent at this pay. The pay structure really needs to be adjusted. A lot of employees have had to take on second jobs. It's amazing how many Lyft and Uber stickers you'll see in employees car windows. We have bills to pay but it's really really hard to do at less than $15 an hour. Very encouraging of going back to school but have a lot of strict rules on what applies and what doesn't. Finding out if your classes are actually approved is a task in itself. I have sent many emails to find out if I'm good for reimbursement and have yet to hear anything. I'll just keep sending in the forms. I know Sonic doesn't have to offer this but it would be nice if there was more structure around it.
