Sonic.net is a fast paced, fun, and casual work environment. There are always new challenges to meet and new opportunities for learning and growth. The work place is pleasant and casual enough that you can have beers with the CEO one minute and then go pull cables under the floor the next.

Cons

Pay is commensurate with the area, but not really for the field in general.

Very interesting management philosophy, a truly tops down org. Employee input not welcome to improve anything. Pay/benefits not that good.

If you're a computer focused friendly person who wants to work with a group of people with similar interests and aptitudes Sonic.net is a welcoming employer. The wage structure makes Sonic.net a reasonable first job. As a straight out of High School / SRJC first-real-job it is a great choice.

Cons

As you grow in your experience and capabilities Sonic.net will not grow with you. You'll get more responsibilities but aside from more hours your wage is locked and not open for discussion. Affording anything but the most spartan and modest lifestyle in high cost of living sonoma county wine country on Sonic.net wages is impossible.
