Pros

The interpersonal culture was great. Everybody loves good music and that ties the company together. They are seriously good about speaker engineering and were doing "internet of things" long before that was a term. They have deep expertise in every aspect.

Cons

It's a design driven company and that can be frustrating as an engineer. Designers generally don't understand that "we want a new product with new feature X by D" has way more uncertainty than "can you do that in blue?". They get there eventually but it a painful process. They could use more investment into engineering tooling. What they do is very special, so you can't just buy solutions for things like embedded systems testing. But they don't want to invest in the in-house solutions, so they always feel under staffed.

Pros

There are a lot of music lovers, and some wonderful people hidden under the surface. The products sound good.

Cons

Management is an impenetrable sect that has no accountability and veils its decisions behind closed doors.
