Pros

Great culture, benefits/comp, locations (beautiful Santa Barbara stone's throw from the beach/Seattle/Boston/etc). Great CEO - direction for the company in the next 1-5 years is very promising.

Cons

Decisions can feel top-down/coming from behind closed doors in terms of product/feature level decisions. Not much transparency in terms of how many day to day decisions get made.

Pros

Great Energy from Co-workers. Lot's of company perks

Cons

Working at Sonos is quite an experience from the beginning, first they treat you well. Then you become subject of a working team, with a novice team of managers. You work while the rest of the company has the fun. You're worked until there is nothing left of you, and still they want more out of you for their dollar. Ambiguous direction, and poor training. Everyone is paid the same 45k annually, and there are no raises only bonuses "IF" you qualify. The company will do anything to mascaraed the future of the company, which is still uncertain as it is constantly struggling to stay competitive from the standpoint of releasing new product in a timely manor, and relative to what's in market.

Pros

- Nice office space - Less structure and process than a typical Fortune 100 company - Relatively flexible on work/life balance

Cons

- Highly passive aggressive in many functions - Talk about transparency, collaboration and moving fast, yet don't reward the appropriate people, actions and skill sets behind these actions - Talk about empowerment, but the power, decision making and need for alignment still remains with a few at the top - Must fit in to the culture, if you aren't obsessed by music, you may not fit - The company is in transition, old vs new mindset, which has created cultural tension within the company
