Pros

Amazing people to work with in my team

Cons

Rifs every so often (a Sonos tradition with Patrick as CEO), no salary increases for the last 4 years, always chasing the next "new fad" instead of focusing on product quality

Pros

They have a lot of smart people there who are deeply invested in the product and in the customers. There is a disconnection between these boots-on-the-ground people and the C suite though, so they often are not able to harness that mission-centeredness.

Cons

They haven't figured out how to be a software company. They are still hardware-driven, and there is an expectation that software can be "figured out" easily. They also reward seniority and "loyalty", so there are principal/staff-level engineers there who have just stayed long enough to get promoted to those positions.
