Blaming atmosphere - Sales director is de facto General Manager and cascades down finger-pointing atmosphere. You will never hear compliments - but you will hear from a 3rd person what your manager didn't like :))

Very hierarchical to the detriment of productivity. Obvious cultural and gender biases, very few females in leadership positions. Although not said by leadership the workforce feel progression as a female is near impossible. Conversations around expectations to work extra hours (late in to the evenings and weekends) - and clear message that if you don't you won't progress. Majority of the workforce are lovely people, I genuinely felt sorry that they saw the culture and ways of working as normal and that they felt the Sony name and salary was worth sticking around for. I've worked for multiple large corporations and this is the only one that made me feel uncomfortable beyond belief. All HR processes are unbelievably slow, with some of my benefits paperwork taking up to 6 months to be finalised.
